I think I’ve experienced more fear this year than in any other year of my life, but I’m channeling it into something greater.

Yes, it is obvious that we see heirarchies and abstractions everywhere. What’s less obvious is the implications of our choices of which layers to focus on. I think crypto is an effective case study of how your choices of layers matter a lot, and it also helps that crypto is very deliberate and self-referential in its construction of new layers (or prioritizing certain layers).

8 months ago, I had the idea of creating a research paper study club at Western University. My direct motivations seemed obvious, but less obvious was the intended effect.

My thesis is that a plurality of families bring up children with suppressed personalities that can easily spiral into destructive patterns when faced with certain environmental variables such as stress, profit/money, loss, or loneliness.

Some advice is better than others. It can be more true, or it can be more relevant to the challenges in question. This is simple to determine and filter.

We all have our own audiences. Starting with ourselves, and working our way out to potentially millions of people.
